Every year there is a lot to take in at the League/Servicecorp's annual convention. You may attend as many of our scheduled events as you like. We begin with the Grand Opening of the Exhibit Hall, which is always well attended. This event gives you the opportunity to meet representatives from your favorite companies and meet new people from other credit unions.

New this year, two popular events are being combined into one with the Dessert Reception and Credit Union Casino. This event will give you the opportunity to network with other credit union people in a casual, fun setting.

To end the League's 2008 Convention with a bang, be sure to register for this year's Chairman's Awards Banquet on Saturday night. Along with several award presentations, you'll enjoy dinner, a cash bar, and music. Don't miss the fun!

NEW THIS YEAR: These perennial favorite events will be combined into one evening of fun! A great way to end the first full day of Convention, the dessert reception will feature an assortment of fine desserts and specialty coffees while the Las Vegas-style casino will feature casino games, networking, and great door prizes. All attendees will receive at least one door prize ticket entry just for coming.

Chairman's Awards Banquet

#Chairman's Awards Banquet, 6:00 p.m., Westin Indianapolis - TICKETED EVENT
Sponsored by CUNA Mutual Group and Servicecorp

This year’s featured entertainment at the Chairman’s Award Banquet, on Saturday, Sept. 27, will be special guest Walter Scheib, former White House Chef to Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush. Known as “The American Chef,” he created a new style of cuisine for the White House. He will be supervising the Westin Indianapolis hotel kitchen staff as they prepare dinner for Convention guests. During dinner, Chef Scheib will share stories about his years in the White House, remarking about special dishes he has created for the first families and their guests.

As in past years, dinner music will be provided by Carl Hines Trio.
