November 28, 2006 - Indiana Credit Union Foundation elects officers

INDIANAPOLIS— Serving the Indiana Credit Union Foundation as table officers for 2006-07 are the following individuals:

Chairman: Lamoura Munse, Indiana Members CU, Indianapolis
Vice Chairman: Barbara Berghoff, Professional FCU, Fort Wayne
Secretary: Angie Dufour, Central FCU, Indianapolis
Treasurer: Sandy Heller, Northern Indiana FCU, Merrillville

Munse and Heller also are on the Indiana Credit Union League Board with Heller serving as vice chairman.

Table officers attended their first scheduled meeting of the Foundation board in their new roles yesterday. Also attending was League Chairman Jenny Budreau of FORUM CU (Fishers) who was elected in October to serve on the Foundation Board. Ron Budzinski of La-Porter FCU (Michigan City) and Karla Salisbury of KEMBA CU (Indianapolis) are also on the board of the Indiana Credit Union Foundation.

“Our board looks forward to continuing the trend of making credit unions’ best interests a top priority,” said Chairman Munse. “The ongoing financial support the Foundation has received from credit unions and vendors has enabled us to fund disaster relief efforts, focus on financial literacy initiatives, and provide scholarships to representatives of Hoosier credit unions.”

The Indiana Credit Union Foundation is a charitable arm of the Indiana Credit Union League, using contributions from individuals, credit unions and other organizations to fund projects, which benefit Hoosier credit unions. These include scholarships and grants, credit union development and other programs as approved by its board of directors including financial literacy, community education programs and disaster relief.
