July 25, 2005 - Katee Walcott selected for Judy James Memorial Scholarship

INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Credit Union Foundation Board has selected Katee Walcott, Manager of Dearborn County Hospital FCU, as this year's recipient of the Judy James Memorial Scholarship. Dearborn County Hospital FCU has $8.3 million in assets and is located in Lawrenceburg. The scholarship will cover the costs for Katee to attend the ICUL Managers Conference August 23-26.

The scholarship was established by the Foundation Board in coordination with Bar-Cons FCU, following the passing of Judy James on April 10, 2004. Judy served in many leadership positions during her credit union career, was the first Chairman of the Foundation, and was the longtime CEO of Bar-Cons FCU. She was especially interested in credit union development and helping smaller-size credit unions. This scholarship was established to perpetuate that desire of hers.
