Indiana Convention features Business Lounge
September 17, 2002
Indianapolis -- Keeping up with e-mail,
voice mail and other activity at the credit union is difficult on the best of
days for executives and other leaders, but when they're spending the day out of
the office, it is even harder. Those
credit union representatives attending the Indiana Credit Union League's 68th
Annual Convention this week (Sept 19-21) will be able to take advantage of a new
convenience this year that will keep them connected.
The Mid-States Business Lounge, which will
be open to Mid-States Corporate Credit Union members, and their officials who
are attending the convention, will include computers with Internet access, cable
TV, comfortable seating and refreshments. The
Lounge is designed to provide members the ability to stay in touch with
important business issues without having to leave the convention center.
The Business Lounge will be open all three days of Convention.
"We know that staff and executives need to
stay in touch with the credit union while they are away at Convention,"
explained Mid-States CEO Dave Preter. "The addition of the Business Lounge
will allow our members to keep up with e-mail, check phone messages and catch up
on the day's news-all in a comfortable setting just steps from the exhibit
hall."
"This is a convenience we glad is being offered to our convention
attendees," said League President John McKenzie.
"We appreciate Mid-States adding the Business Lounge the
to this year's convention. And, its role as the premiere sponsor of
convention is an important aspect of our overall partnership."
Since the Indiana Credit Union League and
Mid-States Corporate FCU announced a partnership agreement last March,
Mid-States has also taken on the role of premier sponsor of the League's
convention and annual meeting.
