Dr. Stephen Lovejoy receives Volunteer Achievement Award

INDIANAPOLIS---Dr. Stephen Lovejoy, chairman of the Tecumseh Group and
director of Purdue Employees Federal Credit Union (PEFCU), was presented with
the 2004 Volunteer Achievement Award by the Indiana Credit Union League. The
presentation was made during the trade association’s annual meeting and
convention Sept. 17.
Lovejoy has been a director for Purdue Employees Federal Credit Union since
1995 and presently is chairman of the Tecumseh Group, its CUSO, which performs
several functions including real estate servicing and investment services. He
has developed programs for the Education Credit Union Council as well as
workshops for state leagues in ten states. He was a contributor to the Credit
Union National Association’s Effective Directors Handbook. Lovejoy has also made
many significant contributions to PEFCU’s success, primarily in the area of
technology.
In addition to his volunteer work for the credit union, Dr. Lovejoy is a
professor of agriculture economics at Purdue University where he teaches classes
on environmental policy analysis as well as the environment and economics.
The Volunteer Achievement Award recognizes credit union volunteers who have
given of themselves to promote the credit union ideal and to better the credit
union movement in Indiana.
