Robert Weaver of Professional FCU receives Volunteer Achievement Award

Robert Weaver receives a crystal bowl to recognize his selection as the Indiana Credit Union League’s 2005 Volunteer Achievement Award recipient. Indiana Credit Union League Board Chairman Angie Dufour made the presentation. Dufour represents Central Federal Credit Union in Indianapolis.

INDIANAPOLIS---Robert Weaver, Board Chairman of Professional Federal Credit Union in Fort Wayne, was presented with the 2005 Volunteer Achievement Award by the Indiana Credit Union League. The presentation was made during the trade association’s annual meeting and convention Oct. 8.

Weaver has served on the board of directors at the credit union in various capacities since 1986. He has been instrumental in the achievements of the credit union over the years and he is active in governmental affairs. In addition to his volunteer work for the credit union, Weaver has been involved with Junior Achievement since 1988, is treasurer of the Allen County Retired Educators Association, and is an adjunct faculty member at Indiana Institute of Technology. Telling the credit union story has been a favorite part of the curriculum in his Economics classes throughout his teaching career.

The Volunteer Achievement Award recognizes credit union volunteers who have given of themselves to promote the credit union ideal and to better the credit union movement in Indiana.
