Indiana Credit Union Foundation ready to assist with tornado disaster
relief
November 9, 2005
INDIANAPOLIS – In response to a devastating tornado in Evansville, Ind.
that struck early Sunday morning, the Indiana Credit Union Foundation has set up
a designated purpose fund for contributions to support tornado disaster relief
efforts of several credit unions in the Evansville area. Donations to the
Foundation's designated fund will be divided among the credit union funds.
"We were very saddened to learn that there were credit union members who lost
their lives in this tragic tornado," said Indiana League President John
McKenzie. Evansville area credit unions have been quick to respond by setting up
funds to help the victims and taking other steps, and we want to support those
efforts in every way possible."
The Foundation and Indiana League Servicecorp are each contributing $2,000 to
this fund.
