Servicecorp Card Services renamed Credit Union Card Center

INDIANAPOLIS—The Card Services division of Servicecorp has changed its name to Credit Union Card Center. “The new name emphasizes our focus on credit unions and the card business in Indiana and other states,” said Diana Arnold, Servicecorp Chief Operating Officer. “We are excited about several new card products and services we have for credit unions and wanted to create an image that gives us better brand recognition in the marketplace.”

Credit Union Card Center offers full-service credit, debit, and ATM card processing. Services include a member service call center, plastics management, collections, fraud control, chargeback processing, rewards programs, Internet access, and electronic statements. The newest products, which will be rolled out later this month, are Digital Card Processing and Family Card. Digital Card will allow credit unions to design plastics for different program types without the need to purchase large quantities of one particular stock. The new Family Card product will allow cardholders to group cards together under one key account, and designate specific credit limits for each individual. The major advantage of the Family Card is that the key accountholder can maintain control of dependents’ spending limits while having the opportunity to teach them about the use of a credit card.

“Our approach to card services positions client credit unions to be very successful against all types of competition, to generate attractive returns on their card portfolios, and to offer the quality of service that credit unions are known for,” added John McKenzie, president of the Indiana Credit Union League and Servicecorp. “The latest additions to our product line provide more ways to help credit unions achieve their strategic objectives.”

Credit Union Card Center employs experts who keep up with the latest trends in card processing, including fraud control and regulatory changes. Credit unions on the program do not have to employ experts in-house since Credit Union Card Center offers all of the back-office processing as part of its service.

Credit Union Card Center has been in the card processing business for credit unions for more than 20 years, and processes credit, debit, and ATM card programs for more than 135 credit unions in Indiana, Kentucky, New York, and Maryland. Through their partnership with First Data Corporation, Credit Union Card Center is able to offer competitive pricing and a full suite of products and services that allow credit unions to add value to their card programs.

The Indiana Credit Union League is the statewide trade association for credit unions in Indiana. Those credit unions serve more than two million Hoosiers. Credit Union Card Center is a division of Servicecorp, a League subsidiary which provides value-added products and services to credit unions, through partnerships with several organizations that serve the financial services industry.
