September 24, 2007
INDIANAPOLIS -- Angie Dufour has been selected for induction into the
Indiana Credit Union Hall of Fame.
With nearly three decades in the credit union business, Dufour served on the
board of directors of the Indiana Credit Union League beginning in 1999 and was
chairman from 2004-2006. She was also a charter director of the Indiana Credit
Union Foundation and served as secretary of that organization until earlier this
year. During her career, Dufour was president of the former Cooperatives FCU in
Indianapolis and was on the management team at Link FCU in Avon. And, she was a
volunteer for Central FCU in Indianapolis until it was merged into Indiana
University EFCU in March.
“What started as a job at a credit union became a career at a credit union
then became a passion for helping members realize their financial goals—at a
credit union,” said Dufour. “I am honored to be recognized for the work I loved
doing for so many years.”
“Angie’s career achievements and leadership have made a tremendous difference
for thousands of individual credit union members and for credit unions across
Indiana,” said Indiana Credit Union League President John McKenzie. League
Chairman Jenny Budreau of FORUM Credit Union added, “Her accomplishments and
contributions personify what the Hall of Fame is all about.”
Dufour was inducted during the Chairman’s Awards Banquet, a special event
during the Indiana Credit Union League’s annual convention.
