Elements of the ignite program

Educational events
As part of its education calendar each year, the League will offer sessions
covering topics important to ignite such as entrepreneurialism, new ideas,
technology, etc. Attendance at the sessions will also be open to all affiliated
credit union representatives and will not be restricted to ignite working group
participants. Members of the ignite working groups, however, will be able to
attend the education sessions free of charge. The League will coordinate with
Indiana’s credit union representatives who are directly associated with the
Filene Research Institute’s i3 group regarding the content of these
sessions.
Watch for information about these events on the League’s 2008 Education
Calendar.
Working groups
The individuals selected for working groups will make a multi-year
commitment to the ignite program. Half of those selected for the inaugural group
will be asked to make a two-year commitment, the other half will be asked to
make a three year commitment. This will allow for staggered terms so that going
forward everyone will make a two-year commitment. The entire group will meet
face-to-face twice during the year, with other, small group meetings taking
place as necessary. Expenses to attend these meetings are the responsibility of
each participant’s credit union.
The working group participants will be selected by Indiana’s credit union
representatives associated with Filene i3 based on information
provided in an application process.
Web-based exchange of information
A password-protected Web site will be made available for the purpose of
information and idea exchange between members of the working groups and/or other
individuals as appropriate to support the efforts of the ignite working groups. |
