She has led her credit union to CDFI Status and has received 2 CDFI grants. Mrs. Smith is a huge advocate of higher education and wants all students to have the right to a good education which is why she is Chair of the Grambling University Foundation board and she holds a seat on the board of the Southern University Shreveport Foundation.
