Affiliated Credit Unions
New award will showcase credit union best practices
At a meeting it held earlier this year, the League’s Convention Committee asked that a new award be developed by the League to showcase efforts of credit unions in several areas of operations so ideas could be shared with other credit unions so they could benefit from them. This will be the first year for the Indiana Credit Union League Best Practices Awards. Details of the award are here. Top entries will be shown during the Chairman’s Awards Banquet at Convention and all entries will be available on the League website after Convention.
We hope credit unions will share their successes regarding member service, loan promotions, expense reductions, deployment of staff, facilities, branch strategies, training, board programs, etc. In short, if your credit union has done something you believe deserves recognition and which other CUs could learn from, please enter it so that others will know about it!
Entries should consist of a video (maximum length: 3 minutes) or slide deck that can be presented in 3 minutes or less—suitable for sharing at the League Convention—that showcases your credit union’s best practice along with 400 words or fewer describing the strategy, execution, results and flexibility of the best practice.
A video or slide deck can be uploaded with your credit union’s online entry form. Credit unions should submit their entries by Aug. 11.
