INDIANAPOLIS – Claire Kellems of INOVA Federal Credit Union in Elkhart is a recipient of the 2015 Emerging Leadership Award from the Indiana Credit Union League.

At INOVA FCU, Kellems is Assistant Vice President of Process and Data Analytics, a position she was appointed to in January, 2015. When beginning in this role, she had only about 18 months of credit union experience, but quickly learned about INOVA FCU’s business processes and systems and has been instrumental in improving efficiencies.  She has either led or been a team member on dozens of high-profile projects at the credit union including upgrading the online banking and bill pay products, launching mobile deposit capture, improving processes in the various departments and much more.

The Emerging Leadership Award was developed in order to recognize the next generation of credit union leaders in Indiana for their accomplishments and for their potential to be an Indiana credit union leader in the future. Kellems was honored October 9 during the Chairman’s Awards Banquet, a special event during the Indiana Credit Union League’s annual convention.

Claire Kellems of INOVA FCU receives her award from League Chairman Doug True of FORUM Credit Union.
