Beacon Credit Union is currently seeking Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) candidates to serve various territories throughout the state of Indiana.  Territories by county (with largest city listed) are as follows:

To perform a wide range of duties relating to the origination of residential mortgage loans and meeting production goals defined by management.
Major duties and responsibilities
·      Generates and develops new business to meet specified production goals. Maintains and nurtures existing member relationships. Responds to all inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner. Understands and communicates information regarding credit union products, services, and procedures to new and existing members.
·       Interviews prospective loan applicants in the branch or off-site to determine lending needs and educate them on the products and services of the credit union.
·       Functions as a liaison between the member and loan processing staff.
·       Attends loan closings with the member/borrower.
·       Develops referral contacts with realtors, builders, title companies, appraisers, and other professional and personal contacts.
·       Performs other related duties as assigned.
Three to five years of residential lending background preferred. Bachelor’s Degree in business or a related field. Current and valid NMLSR license. The applicant must be a self-starter with superior member service and communication skills, the ability to manage priorities and workflow within established timeframes, the ability to work well independently, and the versatility, flexibility and willingness to work within a constantly changing industry. Applicant must be able to work flexible hours as needed, including evenings and weekends, to meet member needs (appointments, closings, etc.)
