​Marketing/Business Development Coordinator

Reports To: President/CEO
Travel Required: 30%
Wage Category: Exempt
There is no additional compensation for overtime hours (e.g. hours worked in excess of forty (40) hours per week).  Bonuses, if any, are at the discretion of the board of directors and are not guaranteed.
 
Purpose:
Responsible for the development and implementation of the marketing plan for the credit union using research activities on marketing trends within the industry and CU specific data. This person will recommend marketing strategies to the CEO and the Board of Directors on an (at minimum) annual basis. They will perform a variety of creative and supportive duties related to the marketing function within the credit union. A primary focus will be developing new business for the credit union. They will also cultivate new, and maintain existing, relationships for all facets of the corporate sponsorship and individual members.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
1.      Development and implementation of the overall marketing plan.
2.      Research industry trends and demographics in the field of membership and develop recommendations for products and services or marketing programs.
3.      Coordinate member surveys. Interact with members to research member needs. Analyze member feedback and report the results.
4.      Obtain bids and/or coordinate bids for all phases of the production of marketing materials. Place orders and monitor quality of materials.
5.      Help train staff in cross selling and marketing techniques.
6.      Plan annual meeting and special events/seminars.
7.      Coordinate member newsletter.
8.      Maintain the marketing calendar of events and schedules.
9.      Maintain inventory of marketing supplies and brochures. Determine when to reorder and place orders to replenish inventories.
10.  Take photos during credit union events. Maintain photos for the credit union.
11.  Compile and maintain monthly/quarterly statistical marketing reports and contact tracking tool.
12.  Develop a list of potential new employee groups. Contact and visit employee groups to present information on available credit union products and services.
13.  Attend various meetings in the community and/or trade associations to develop new business prospects and promote the credit union. *will require some evening and weekend hours.
14.  Maintain credit union intranet and work with website vendor.
15.  Attend training locally/nationally.
16.  Travel to credit union branches to support branch staff when holding events.
17.  Maintain a solid understanding of regulatory and compliance standards, BSA compliance and  reporting and EPCU policies and procedures.
18.  Cross sell all credit union products/services when appropriate.
19.  Other duties as assigned.
 
Qualifications:
·        2-4 years related experience
·        Demonstrated writing and proofreading skills
·        Excellent oral and communication skills
·        Strong PC skills with knowledge of software designed to create marketing materials
o   Utilize a range of computer software applications to include, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, and other graphics software.
·        Knowledge of consumer financial products is a plus.
 
Preference given to candidates with an Associates or Bachelor degree in a related field.
