The Marketing Segmentation and Business Analyst’s primary responsibility is to work with the VP of Membership Development to develop marketing and business strategies that align with credit union balanced scorecard and strategic goals by analyzing credit union member data, market trends, consumer preferences and buying behaviors, and competitive data. The role is also responsible for the daily administration and use of the Credit Union’s analytics databases and provides daily and monthly performance tracking and other reports as required.
Provides data to support the strategy behind communication strategies to Marketing, Lending, Operations and Business Development.
Distributes trended, segmented, performance based and predictive data sets to the organization to assist in data-driven decision making.
Researches and provides competitive analysis information to assist with geographic expansion, branching considerations, external market threats and opportunities, and other market analysis as needed.
Analyzes marketing campaign effectiveness including campaign reporting and return on investment.
Leads customer segmentation and satisfaction research including working with key functional areas to collect, aggregate and distribute data gathered from member surveys to understand current and future customer needs.
Analyzes digital marketing analytics analysis (web, social media, and digital ad buys) for target segmentation and content improvement.
Develops propensity models of membership for automated email and targeted marketing campaigns based on Core services, loyalty, and member lifecycles.
Assists in new product development and current product lifecycle management.
Provides competitive detail for our products, services and fees.
Maintains daily performance tracking for retail operations and business development.
Manages daily administration and use of DeepSee (including data appends) and the CRM and has working knowledge of our other analytics data bases.
Provides reports, and analysis as requested, to other departments.
Supports retail and business development sales activities with Lead Generator campaigns.
Contributes to strategic planning through market opportunity assessment; marketing planning, business planning activities, and business scorecard metrics.
Seeks new learning opportunities to better distribute data to key stakeholders using technology
Support of and attendance at marketing sponsored events required.
The Member Segmentation and Business Analyst reports to the Vice President of Member Development who provides general direction on tasks to be completed.
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or computer science and a minimum of two years related experience
• Working knowledge of digital technologies, omni-channel marketing and eCommerce solutions, functions and business practices
• Effective written, oral, and interpersonal communications skills
• Excellent analytical thinking and research skills
• Detail oriented with an ability to work in deadline-oriented work environment.
• Proven experience in MS Access, MS Excel, ODBC, and SQL
• Proven experience in HTML5, Javascript, and CSS
• Knowledge of CRM software preferred
• Previous financial services experience preferred
The work requires physical mobility within the general work area and minimal travel locally and infrequently to other areas within the United States. Light lifting and carrying of items such as books and boxes is required.
