News Release: Bill Hord of Finance Center Federal Credit Union honored as emerging credit union leader

League Chairman Ron Mazur presents the Emerging Leadership Award to William C. HordINDIANAPOLIS – William C. Hord of Finance Center Federal Credit Union is a 2011 recipient of the Indiana Credit Union League’s Emerging Leadership Award.
Currently Vice President of Enterprise Risk Management, Hord has been in a management position with his current credit union for three years. He is responsible for all aspects of risk management including vendor management, risk assessments, compliance, business continuity, contract review and negotiation, legislative impact, internal loan and new account quality control and overall management of internal audit recommendations. Prior to that, he held various management positions at credit unions in Kokomo and Peru.
He has served the League on various committees, and he is a current member of the Political Involvement Advisory Group. He is also a
Certified Compliance Officer and he is a member of the Fiserv DataSafe Compliance Advisory Panel.
“I see tremendous challenges coupled with unparalleled opportunities in the future of the credit union movement,” said Hord. “Capitalizing on these opportunities and overcoming adversity will make our products and services more attractive to our members and potential membership.”
The Emerging Leadership Award was developed in order to recognize the next generation of credit union leaders in Indiana for their accomplishments and for their potential to be an Indiana credit union leader in the future. Hord was honored Oct. 7 during the Chairman’s Awards Banquet, a special event during the Indiana Credit Union League’s annual convention.
