Accounting Manager – Members Source CU

Members Source Credit Union is an 88-year-old financial institution with approximately 6,000 members across four counties in Northwest Indiana. We are looking for a highly motivated, dependable Accounting Manager to lead our accounting department.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Manages accounting staff.
  • Responsible for all financial management functions that includes planning, organizing, developing, directing and controlling of – Annual Budget, Business Plan, 5300 Call Report, ALLL Evaluation, Financial Review and Recommendation, Examination Support.
  • Analyzes general ledger accounts to clear up outstanding differences.  Researches and resolves any discrepancies.
  • Review and process invoices and accounts payable transactions.
  • Reconcile corporate account statements and settlement accounts monthly.
  • Directly or through subordinates, oversee and manage the financial and accounting functions of the Credit Union to include, ALM, AP, AR, budgets, GL, financial analysis, financial reporting, recordkeeping, and investments.
  • Provide guidance regarding investment decisions.
  • Serve as a Credit Union liaison with regulatory agency examiners and auditors.
  • Administrative duties as assigned.
  • Contribute to a team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.


    Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in accounting, a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Requires advanced knowledge of the Credit Union industry and its accounting/financial practices or, equivalent experience of five to ten years as a finance officer in a related financial institution. Prior management experience preferred.
