Consumer Loan Officer Position
MEMBERS ADVANTAGE CREDIT UNION, Michigan City, Indiana
Reports to: Executive Vice President
Position Purpose
Deliver exceptional member service by providing personalized assistance to both existing and potential members, addressing their lending product and service needs. Proactively identify member needs, offering suitable solutions. Exceeding member expectations is our goal.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional loan service to members, including information gathering, assessing member needs, financial counseling, application completion and processing, inform member of ongoing process and attends/assist in the coordination of the loan closing when needed.
- Provide exceptional loan service to members, including information gathering, assessing member needs, financial counseling, application completion and processing, inform member of ongoing process and attends/assist in the coordination of the loan closing when needed.
- Ensures all member requests are processed accurately, efficiently, and fairly.
- Recognize and act upon referral opportunities to achieve individual sales goals.
- Promote credit union products and services by demonstrating knowledge of credit union products and services.
- Understands and adheres to all policies, procedures, and regulations. Passes annual compliance requirements.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Preferred Education & Experience
- 1-3 years of consumer lending experience at a financial institution
- Home Equity lending experience beneficial
- A high school degree or equivalent.
- Exceptional member service and phone skills are required.
- Excellent written and verbalcommunications is required.
- Knowledge of the loan application process from start to finish.
