Kevin Sparks, of Crane CU in Odon, was inducted into the Indiana Credit Union Hall of Fame on October 3 during the Gala & Awards Celebration, a special event during the Indiana Credit Union League’s annual convention.
Sparks has been the President/CEO of the $1.1 billion credit union since 2018, overseeing numerous milestones, including asset growth, merger completions, and community service projects that have benefited more than 68,000 members in Southern Indiana through its 18 branch locations.
He has also been influential in the credit union industry through his work on statewide and national credit union committees, as well as the St. Louis Federal Reserve Community Depository Institutions Advisory Council. He has also been instrumental in the work of organizations within the Crane Credit Union community, including Crane Regional Defense, West Gate Authority, and Greene County Economic Development. He is currently a member of the board of Credit Union Centers, which provides shared branching services in Indiana and Illinois.
A member of the board of directors of the Indiana Credit Union League for more than a decade, Sparks has served on numerous League committees, and he was board chairman from 2020 to 2021. His term on the League Board was completed in 2024. He received the organization’s Emerging Leadership Award in 2009.
