News Release: Origins CU’s Loren Garber receives Emerging Leadership Award

INDIANAPOLIS – Loren Garber of Origins Credit Union (Indianapolis) received the 2026 Emerging Leadership Award from the Indiana Credit Union League on October 2 during the Credit Union Awards Celebration, a special event during the League’s annual convention.

Garber, the credit union's Chief Financial Officer, has served in many roles at Energy Plus CU over the past 11 years. His leadership was especially evident during the credit union’s merger earlier this year to become Origins CU. He has played a key role in vendor relations, budgeting, rate decisions, board presentations, and detailed financial projections.

Outside the credit union, he is treasurer of the 3-E Young Professionals group in Central Indiana and a regular attendee of credit union events in Indiana and nationwide.

The Indiana Credit Union League is the statewide trade association for credit unions in Indiana. Those credit unions serve more than 2.8 million Hoosiers.
