INDIANAPOLIS  The late Chuck Donovan of Members Source CU was inducted into the Indiana Credit Union Hall of Fame during the Indiana Credit Union League’s statewide convention. He was honored at the Chairman’s Awards Banquet on September 10.

Donovan, who passed away in September 2020 while he was a member of the League Board, was honored posthumously. He had served on the League board since 2012, and he was Chairman from 2016-2017. Donovan provided tremendous leadership for his credit union and for the state credit union system.

Donovan served as an original member in 2013 for the board of the self-funded group health insurance program for Indiana credit unions which provides medical, dental and vision benefits to thousands of credit union employees. He held the position of Vice President of the Board until his retirement in 2015.

He also was instrumental in bringing shared branching to millions of Indiana credit union members through his service on the Shared Branching CUSO board for 12 years where he held executive officer positions.

“Chuck approached the leadership positions he served in with a dedication to working together for the greater good of everyone, said League President John McKenzie. “This recognition pays tribute to some of the ways his life and efforts have left a positive impact on credit unions.”
